What an FNSKU actually is
FNSKU stands for Fulfilment Network Stock Keeping Unit — Amazon's internal identifier for your product inside its fulfilment centres. When you send stock to FBA, each unit must carry an FNSKU barcode so robots and staff can scan, receive and route it. It replaces the manufacturer's UPC/EAN: locker devices read the FNSKU to confirm the unit belongs to your offer.
The code itself is a 12- or 24-digit number (in the common X0-prefixed format in the Indian marketplace) encoded into a Code-128 barcode. Every unit you ship must have its own scannable label — a handwritten number is not accepted at receiving.
Where to find your FNSKU in Seller Central
Open Manage Inventory, locate the product, and view its barcode information — Seller Central shows the FNSKU for your marketplace offer. Copy it into the first field on this page. If you manage one SKU across many ASINs, generate a label per FNSKU as instructed.
Double-check you are printing FNSKU labels, not the manufacturer barcode. FBA documentation is unambiguous: cover or remove any existing barcode on the package that is not the FNSKU, and place the FNSKU where it is easy to scan.

Amazon's labelling requirements call for labels that are scannable at first pass and readable across the unit's life in the warehouse. Print the generated label at a size that fits your products — the PNG downloads at high resolution so it stays crisp when scaled for small or large packages (a typical label size works around 2×1 inch, but always match what your products and printer allow).

Common mistakes and how to avoid them
Using the wrong code: print the FNSKU, not the UPC/EAN or MSKU. Triplicate labels with overlapping barcodes can cause misreads at receiving.
Bad print quality: low DPI or thin fonts make bars fade mid-scan — print at the PNG's native resolution and avoid low-quality mode.
Covering an existing barcode: if the package bears another barcode, cover it fully or the locker may read the wrong one.
